Drivers Club Miami, a “country club for cars,” could be headed near Miami GardensMarch 27, 2018
It’s one step closer to reality
Developer Carlos de Narváez’s $100 million “country club for cars” is one step closer to reality, the Real Deal reports. The Miami-Dade County government operations committee gave approval for the project, and now it will go before the county commission for a vote next week.
The auto club plotted for a 160-acre site near Miami Gardens would include a two-mile track, and the Miami Herald previously reported that the auto club would also offer amenities like private garages, a pro driving coach, and a $10 million clubhouse.
But the project also includes three new facilities for local nonprofits, a community center, and a government center for northwestern Miami-Dade. Part of de Narváez’s original pitch for the project was providing improved facilities for currant non-profit tenants on county land, including His House foster home.
