Buena Vista, an 18,500-square-foot mixed-use development, just broke ground last week in the Buena Vista District on 47th Street and 2nd Avenue.
The project is from developer Harry Benitah/RFIF, LLC, and it will include two floors of residential units with ground-floor retail. According to the developer, the neighborhood and its location just blocks from the Miami Design District will be a huge draw for Buena Vista Lofts.
“Buena Vista Lofts will offer tenants the charm of the Buena Vista neighborhood within walking distance of some of Miami’s most desirable destinations,” Benitah said in a press release. “This project is an exciting opportunity to enhance the historic district while preserving the spirit that has made it so unique.”
Buena Vista Lofts is designed by DB Lewis Architect and expected to finish up in early 2019. Amicon Management is the project’s owner’s representative and will manage the construction process. The general contractor is Camcon Group.
Benitah has a second, larger-scale mixed-use project planned just blocks away as well. That project is a proposed 24,000-square-foot development including 10,000 square feet of prime ground-floor retail and residential units, designed by architect Kobi Karp. Dubbed Buena Vista Villas, it’s set to begin construction this spring.
